Craig Strachan was presented with the Triple Crown Award by Toastmasters Southern Africa.

Durban, 26 October 2008. Craig Strachan, along with 18 other people, was presented with the Crown Award by Toastmasters Southern Africa. This award, which is presented to any member that achieves three or more goals in a single year, was presented to Craig at an awards ceremony at the Toastmasters Conference in Durban, South Africa.

The triple crown award is used to motivate people to set communication and leadership goals, and to work towards excellence in the Toastmasters programme. The award, which has been in place for two years, has resulted in a marked increase in educational goals achieved by members.

Craig, who has already received his Distinguished Toastmasters award, achieved a Competent Communicator, Advanced Communicator and Competent Leader award during the last year. "No matter how long you have a Toastmaster, you can still learn by working through the programme", he said.
Craig, who currently serves at Lieutenant Governor, Education and Training for nine countries in Southern Africa, believes that setting an example for others to follow is a key requirement of motivating a team.
